Diane Kline has been an artist all her life: through her childhood, through her education with an MA in Studio, through her marriage and children and now.

The results of the subtle intimacy of her fingers in paint and charcoal are a delight. Her painting and drawing is expanded here to three major categories:

Fine Art - Her paintings and drawings as originals or giclees, as you see them or as commissions for your home or business.

Wearable Art - Necklaces, earrings and bracelets, sometimes with an accessory pashmina scarf, with matching gift boxes based on fine art.

Close To Your Heart - A unique personal gift of a necklace with matching box based on a photo furnished by you.

“I grew up in a Philadelphia suburb, on the Jersey side. I received my undergraduate education at Butler University and the John Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis and my MA from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. I taught art in public schools for seven years. I had gallery representation in Chicago where I participated in group and one-woman exhibitions. A move to North Salem, New York, gave me access to New York City galleries and corporate art collections. My work was placed in private and corporate collections. While producing work for the galleries and shows I started my own business, “Rock Paper Scissors”. I began showing my own art and craft with various promoters in shows on the East Coast and west to Michigan and California.
My passion has always been drawing and painting. I have made prints from my original work that I have incorporated into a line of wearable art.”

My work is acrylic on canvas and paper. I use mostly hands and fingertips to create each, textural piece. I am represented in galleries in the Northeast and Chicago area and also in Alaska, Florida and the U. S. Virgin Islands. Paintings are held in many corporate and private collections.

Since 1986, I have been exhibiting paintings and drawings in art and craft shows from Vermont to Virginia and west to Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. During the last five years many shows have consolidated their application process into several on-line sites that handle more than 700 shows across the country. Home has become an iconic “base of operations” I enjoy showing my own work in this way because it allows me to explain my unique process and meet the people who buy the art.

Also, using original images from my paintings and drawings, I have created a line of wearable art. These are earrings, necklace/pendant or magnetic pin in an image-matching box.

Materials used are 100% recycled paper with the necklace, choker and pin and are protected with high strength epoxy. The chains for the necklaces are 18” rhodium, plated silver. The chokers are coated stainless steel with a magnetic clasp and support the images, which may be separated by sterling silver dividers. Chokers and magnetic pins are sold without the box, if requested. As well, I offer a magnetic pin and scarf (silk, hand dyed and painted by me) box set.

All paintings, drawings, prints and images in my wearable art are produced by me.

I have been showing the paintings, drawings and wearable art together in shows promoted by Art Rider Productions, Sugarloaf Mountain Works, Paradise City, Bethesda Row, Quail Hollow Events, American Art Marketing and Rose Squared Productions. I also show to the wholesale market through the newly formed ACRE or Buyers’ Market of American Craft. Corporate Collections (shortened list):
